Drop at least $800-$1200 for glass removal, prep, taping, sanding, paint, clear, sealant and cut/buff. Do it right the first time and you won’t have to touch it again. Or go cheapo, but I’d advise against it. If you are so inclined and have the equipment, I e done them in my shop for about $400 in supplies and my own time.

Note that removal of the tranny is required to change the bearing. If this is necessary it is wise to inspect the clutch, pilot bearing, and rear main engine seal. Basically you want to cut a piece long enough to go all the way around, then start on one end and use a sharp razor blade to trim a section of it when you get to the Frankenstein grabbers. Just work your way from one side to the other and trim off any excess length that you end up with. Like the other person said, there is the replacement piece
Randolph. Removing rear glass on a hardtop is super-easy. Disconnect wiper fluid tube, electrical connector, and the two heating element connectors. Disconnect the two struts (pull the metal clip outwards and pop them off). Then remove the four bolts on the top hinges and don't drop the glass.
