Drop at least $800-$1200 for glass removal, prep, taping, sanding, paint, clear, sealant and cut/buff. Do it right the first time and you won’t have to touch it again. Or go cheapo, but I’d advise against it. If you are so inclined and have the equipment, I e done them in my shop for about $400 in supplies and my own time. Use the following procedure to change the setting. Switch the ignition off and close both of the doors and the trunk lid. Open the driver's door. Within 30 seconds of opening the driver's door, press and hold the UNLOCK button on the key for 5 seconds or longer (the sound of the doors locking/unlocking can be heard).
Of course, since the screw was apparently tight enough in there to break (1) the head of the screw; (2) the EZ; that may not be enough. I guess you could use heated aluminum and a slightly too small hole to get a bit more of an edge. And/or maybe drill the hole farther in and use a clamp on it outside the plastic.
Note that removal of the tranny is required to change the bearing. If this is necessary it is wise to inspect the clutch, pilot bearing, and rear main engine seal. A3: My Miata was exhibiting the same continuous high-pitched squeaking condition with the clutch closed that went away with the clutch open.

Basically you want to cut a piece long enough to go all the way around, then start on one end and use a sharp razor blade to trim a section of it when you get to the Frankenstein grabbers. Randolph. Removing rear glass on a hardtop is super-easy. Disconnect wiper fluid tube, electrical connector, and the two heating element connectors. Disconnect the two struts (pull the metal clip outwards and pop them off). Then remove the four bolts on the top hinges and don't drop the glass. XQB4Ff.
