I'm new to the game and whenever I start the tutorial my truck automatically goes reverse. It won't accelerate no matter what. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
this may help you restore settings to default values for 1.43 update. for best experience you should have "steam input" enabled. steam > settings > controller > general controller settings. here use options which are relevant for your controller. now start game > open steam overlay and select "controller configuration".

What to you is a slow acceleration? Can you show us with a clip? Trucks obviously aren't cars, so they won't get up to 90 in a few seconds. (Tho alot of ppl think that trucks should accelerate faster, as they treat this game like a gta or nfs game).

Hi Folks, Dying for some help. Driving first truck for the first time. I am using Thrustmaster T300 RS GT with thrusmaster TH8A shifter with Simnu-shift knob. Well, my game went fine. But, when I bought my first truck, it just won't go forward. When I try to accelerate, it give me gears D2-D3, and it go veeery slow (1-2 km/h). When I'm going back, it move normal. btw: I'm using a mod of Romania map, and I didn't try to test the game before I installed the mod. You can try going to documents: "euro truck simulator 2" and right click the "profiles" folder within it. Select "properties", then click the "Previous Versions" tab. If you're lucky, it find one that can be restored.
But I had a solution. (I have a Thrustmaster TMX so Idk if it will work with yours) 1. Unplug the wheel from your PC. 2. Unplug the pedals from the wheel. 3. (download the drivers if you don't have then I will give a link) 4. Restart your PC) And that's all. It worked for me but Idk if it will work for you.
Re: Accelerator pedal stuck. #2 by Kiwimike7 » 14 Jan 2022 10:15. If you go into Options Controls and scroll down to the pedals, you should see a yellow bar move across as you push the pedals. When set up correctly, they should start at nothing and move to maximum as you push the pedals. If that is not what happens I guess you have them reversed.
Usually I remove parking brake and hold my brake pedal, I build the Revs before pressing clutch and change gear to 1 while I still have my brake on then release gently the brakes while you accelerate. (YES CLUTCHING AND BRAKING AND ACCELERATING in a 1-2 seconds, with 2 feet) I have success 3/5.. so hard to get it right.
Next, open up Euro Truck Simulator, select your profile and wait for game to start up. Then, head over to options, and then controls. You'll see a lot of things, we're not going to use that yet. Truck slowing down without using brakes. I used to play using my keyboard, but recently upgraded to a G920 with H-shifter. Unfortunatelly, not all is happening as expected. I tried several trucks and in all of them, the truck (s) stops seconds after I stop accelerating, even without hitting the brakes pedal.
