Backbox on the left hand side has had enough and detached itself from the car. 3 local garages can only get parts from Ford at ~£450 for the backbox and sleeves to rejoin it to the system. Kwik Fit said they can't do it and referred me to an independant exhaust specialst nearby! Rough quote for a whole system is £650!

The car is a 2007 mondeo 1.8 tdci. On smooth roads it's find, but the slightest of pitted roads and I get the sound. Also if I'm turning, say going round a roundabout an hit a slight bump I sometimes get a more metal on metal sound. I'm not clued up on the mondeo and wondered if anyone has the technical drawing for this area of car.
Hi, did mine 2 years ago, - you don't say if yours is a manual, 5 or 6 speed. -Mine's an MTX75 gearbox. for filling it's def. from the top front with a funnel and a long spout-there's a youtube vid of someone doing it. It took just under 2 litres,- fill it till it comes out of the filler hole. GqEkbC.
